Some of my earliest and most formative sailing experiences were on board Peel Castle with my friends Graham and Katy. This 50' Cornish lugger is truly special, and I made this website and wrote this testimonial to try and help ensure that she finds the owner she deserves.

Peel Castle has been immaculately looked after by Graham Bailey, who is an incredible shipwright, craftsman, and sailor. She is solidly built and seaworthy, but she also sails well and is set up for shorthanded operation - Graham frequently cruises the boat alone.

The interior is full of character and charm, and the photos really don't do it justice. It's cozy and comfortable, and spacious enough for large groups. I have fond memories of eating amazing meals and playing folk tunes with groups of musicians around the saloon table.

Personally, considering all the work that has been done on Peel Castle recently, how well she has been looked after in general, and how ready for ocean voyaging she is, I think the asking price is incredibly low. If I didn't have my hands full with my own wooden boat, I would probably be trying to buy Peel Castle myself.
